In their storage bag, it creates a package 32 x 38 x 7 inches. I have trail gear in the back in boxes, and there's just no space for the things, besides which if a rain cloud threatens, it's 20 minutes on the side of the road putting them reinstalled. You end up just leaving the things on even in nice weather because of the hassle. Compare that to 10 seconds of flipping the Sunrider roof hard top shut and popping two latches closed. It's a no brainer.

The Sunrider hard top also works with the Spiderweb sunshade. I leave the corners of the shade loose, they don't flap, and you can’t see them because the sun visors hold them up. The ball straps don't get in the way of the Sunrider's windshield clamps because they pull to one side of the latch-loop.

It changes how you open & close the top, you have to get out and reach in thru the corners of the Spiderweb shade to open or shut the top, but that adds all of 15 extra seconds, and the mesh shade is very nice to have as it blocks the heat of direct sun and cuts down wind blast. Don't need it? Roll it up out of the way for totally open driving. Quality of the Sunrider top is typical Bestop; no corner cutting here, it’s top quality all the way. Material is heavy cloth with vinyl finish.

The install is quick and only took us about 45 minutes. Bestop will soon be releasing a video for the installation that will make the install easier.

Reviews

First, do as the instructions recommend and unfold it in the sun for half an hour or so. Place it on a sidewalk, driveway or patio for even extra heat. This will soften up the material and partially smooth out the fold creases. Next, start at the back rather than the front as the instructions state. This allows a bit of give when stretching the bungees around the rear roll cage bars.


Some reviewers stated they could barely stretch the bungee cords and one even mentioned his broke while installing the back. My guess is they did the back last and had no slack to play with. Installing the back first solves this issue. Make sure the bungee wraps around so that the ball is behind the seat belt guide assembly attached to the roll bar (see pic below). You will have to stretch the bungee pretty hard but it isn't impossible. After attaching both rear sides the shade will be pulled back too far but that will be corrected next.

This next step is easiest with a second person helping. Pull the shade up and over the sound bar and towards the front visor area. Have your helper stand in the cargo bay and grab both sides of the shade that you just connected. He/she should pull it forward stretching those bungees and giving you some room to play with up front. Run a short bungee through the second eyelet from the edge. Pull, stretch and attach to the freedom panel "U" catch.

Move to the other side and repeat same procedure. The middle portion has two eyelets close together. Choose the one that is closest to that "U" catch and use it. It will be off center but still works without causing any folds or awkward positioning of the shade. (pics) These front three are designed to be off center from the "U" catches. They allow you to attach the freedom panels while keeping the cords off to the side and out of the way.

Next move your way around the Jeep Wrangler 4 door and attach all the remaining bungees. They all go on tight but not difficult. Make sure you position all the balls in a manner that they are out of the way for visor operation and reinstalling Jeep Wrangler hardtop or soft tops.

If you are looking for a UV shade for your Jeep Wrangler 4 door you found it, just get this one, this things is seriously rugged and tough and it really looks great, heads will turn. The attached bungie-style bar wraps keep this nice and tight and does fine at speed so there is no issues with wind. You can just keep it on if put your hardtop back on and then it will cover the freedom panel area as well.

In Florida there are many opportunities to go topless but the sun makes it so unbearable. This shade is perfect. A perfect fit for my Jeep Wrangler 4 door tops and it strikes the perfect balance between letting in the breeze and some sun while blocking a ton of heat and it does not flap in the wind going down the interstate.
